DRACUT — Zoning Bylaw Review Committee approves April minutes and advances MBTA information session planning. Chair Josh Taylor, Vice-Chair Sarah Powling, and members John Svrcek, Mike Pestana, Brian Lussier, Scott Mallory, Warren Shaw Jr., Phil Thibault, and Wendy Sullivan voted 8-0-1 to adopt the April 9 minutes as amended; Sullivan abstained. The committee reviewed approved flyers for a June 11 community forum at Harmony Hall, funded by grant money and distributed via Every Door Direct mail.
In lengthy discussion of development district density, Taylor requested that consultant NMCOG provide final draft analyses comparing configurations of Tennis Plaza, Cascades, and a Loonhill Road area, showing total acreage and per-acre density under both scenarios. The committee received notification that the Planning Board hearing on zoning bylaw amendments to Section 8.6 (Telecommunications Towers) has been rescheduled from May 13 to May 27, addressing technical corrections to align text with voter-approved changes from Town Meeting.
