Selectmen grant licenses, begin FY27 budget review

Dracut selectmen approve two business licenses, launch FY27 budget talks. The Board unanimously granted a one-day outdoor beer and wine license to Lazy River Products, LLC for April 18th and a Common Victualler's License to Yasaii Bowls manager Mirna Ashraf at 1480 Broadway Road. Town Manager Kate Hodges presented the General Fund Expenditures spreadsheet and stated the town cannot absorb further municipal staffing cuts, with headcount already down 82 employees.

Hodges said the School Department's chargebacks are under renegotiation with the former Interim Town Manager, and Superintendent Stone is reviewing information on potential charges for Town Treasurer and Human Resources Director services.
