Council on Aging approves May 27 as annual election meeting date.

Council on Aging · Meeting of February 20, 2026

Dracut Council on Aging moved its annual board elections to May 27, 2026, to address potential quorum issues on the originally scheduled May 21 date. Chair Vincent Maloney led the meeting and reported that the Connerton Trust provided $9,500 for trip planning. Staff processed multiple Medicare Savings Plan applications and launched an AARP Tax program running twice weekly--a service unique to Dracut among area centers.

The council discussed replacing aging handheld wireless microphones, with a full new system potentially exceeding $20,000, though targeted microphone replacement may suffice.
