Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of May 12, 2026

DRACUT — The Dracut Community Preservation Committee discussed terms for a Grange Hall historical grant and established a structured approval process to protect the town's interest. The committee welcomed new member Stephen Hall. Ivria Fried of the Town Council raised concerns about non-public use of funds, recommending the Historical Preservation Restriction be held by a town board rather than the Dracut Land Trust.

Bill Greenwood confirmed the CPC would operate as a reimbursement grant system. Dave Martin volunteered as project monitor to verify completed phases before the finance director releases funds. Town Manager Kate Hodges said she and Fried would draft a Grant Agreement detailing expenditures, with the town meeting article requiring the agreement be in place before funds are paid.
