Sewer Commission · Meeting of April 28, 2026
Dracut Sewer Commission approved a fee reduction for a proposed agricultural building at 437 Parker Road. Superintendent Joseph Cloutier presented a request from Dave Dumaresq of Farmer Dave's to reduce sewer connection fees for a 7,200-square-foot building that would typically incur a $15,000 charge for two units under standard commercial rates. The Commission approved the reduction, finding that the facility, located on Agricultural Preservation Restriction land, would have minimal wastewater impact.
The meeting also saw John Svrcek formally welcomed as the board's newest member, while Cloutier reported that Dracut's sewer infiltration rate of 25 to 25.7 percent compares favorably to the typical municipal rate of 38.7 percent.
