Charter Review Committee discusses Article rewrites for town governance.

Board of Selectmen · Meeting of March 31, 2026

DRACUT — Town Charter Review Committee revises governance articles without recorded votes. The committee refined language in Article 5 (Administrative Organization) and reorganized Article 6 (Finances and Fiscal Procedures) to match the chronological flow of actual fiscal processes, updating notification language to include town websites, school websites, bulletin boards, or local newspapers. Two sections in Article 5 were flagged for potential removal and referred to the Select Board for guidance.

The committee meets again April 7 to continue charter revision work.
