Board of Selectmen approves easement for National Grid, delays other votes

Dracut Board of Selectmen approves National Grid easement, ratifies veterans services agreement. The board unanimously granted an easement through town-owned Parcel P to Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid to support a planned single-family residence at 400 Proprietor's Way. In a unanimous vote, members also approved a Veterans Services Inter-Municipal Agreement with the Town of Tyngsborough extending shared-officer services, and appointed Alexander Verras as an At-Large Member to the Town Charter Review Committee.

The Campbell School Design Team presented schematic designs for a $177,291,756 elementary school project with an anticipated $80 million state grant. The board continued discussion of a $500,000 Community Preservation Committee funding application for historic buildings and deferred votes on the town's property assessment process and a school operational audit pending full board attendance.
