Board of Selectmen approves early voting, multiple business licenses
Board of Selectmen · Meeting of March 24, 2026
Dracut Selectmen approve early voting, election warrant, and business licenses. The board unanimously set early voting dates from April 25 to April 30 for the May 2, 2026 Annual Town Election, with general election polls open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Town Manager Kate Hodges presented the FY27 budget as a level budget within the levy limit but noted that net school spending would require 59 million dollars while total school costs would reach 68.3 million dollars.
A potential special election on a school ballot question would cost 25,000 to 30,000 dollars and would require free cash funding. The board unanimously approved multiple business licenses and renewals, including livery, common victualler, used car dealer, and alcoholic beverage establishment licenses.
